They’ve been interested in alternative living for a long time, but their experience on the Discovery Channel’s The Garden: Commune or Cult reality show (now on Max) encouraged them to reorganize their priorities. This led them to embrace a more sustainable, simple lifestyle and move on to their family’s 40-acre homestead to build out a tiny cabin, initially started by her dad. It features a robust solar power system & off-grid utilities. Tyler now works as a survivalist instructor, while Heather works remotely as a criminal defense investigator. They enjoy connecting with their rural community and being part of an acrobat troupe.
