VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Today we’re touring four not-so-tiny homes that blur the line between tiny house living and full-size comfort. These thoughtfully designed homes range from 399 square feet to nearly 1,000 square feet, offering smart layouts, high ceilings, multiple bedrooms, and expansive outdoor living spaces. If you’re searching for a larger tiny home, a small house with big features, or a downsizing option without sacrificing comfort, this video is for you.
Tour 1: Suzie’s Texas Tiny Home (Approx. 600 sq ft including loft)
We kick things off with Suzie’s beautifully designed Texas tiny home, featuring two main-floor bedrooms plus a full standing-height loft. With soaring 20-foot ceilings, a full-size kitchen, spacious bathroom, and aging-in-place features like wide doorways and ramp access, this home proves tiny living can be both practical and future-ready. An expansive deck, waterfall feature, and lake access make the outdoor living just as impressive as the interior.
Tour 2: Charles & Sonia’s Lakefront Small Home (Approx. 1,000 sq ft)
Next, we tour a stunning lakefront small home designed for retirement living. This open-concept layout includes a large IKEA kitchen, oversized island, dining space for ten, and breathtaking lake views throughout. A massive deck, breezeway, and separate guest house provide space for family gatherings, while thoughtful design choices keep maintenance low and comfort high.
Tour 3: Charlene’s 399 sq ft Tiny Home with Massive Outdoor Living
At just 399 square feet, Charlene’s home shows how smart design and outdoor space can make a small footprint feel expansive. A galley kitchen, generous storage, high ceilings, and a cozy interior are paired with multiple decks, an outdoor fireplace, and shaded lounging areas. This home is perfect for those who value simplicity, community, and outdoor living.
Tour 4: Alice’s Two-Story Small Home (Approx. 760 sq ft)
We wrap up with Alice’s two-story small home, designed with creativity and flexibility in mind. With the kitchen and living areas on one level and a spacious bedroom above, this home supports hobbies, art, entertaining, and everyday comfort. High ceilings, abundant natural light, and net-zero-ready efficiency make this a standout option for those wanting a unique small home lifestyle.
Whether you’re considering downsizing, retirement living, or a larger tiny home with room to breathe, these four homes offer real-world inspiration and practical design ideas.

I think my favorite would be Charlene’s house. Than my second would have to be Suzie’s house.
The first and the last homes are great!
the first home looks huge. that loft makes is truly usable space
Never put those split AC units over your bed. They will eventually leak right onto your head.
Love, love the 1st 2 homes
Not tiny, just a small home
I liked the third home best. More my style. I would have lower ceilings. Do more of these tiny homes please. I am divorced and almost 70 so for single people they are perfect and not the micro homes.
#1 is very concerned about aging…lady live your life! #2 is all black and boring. Though I live the loft. #3 needs to cut her fingernails, tapping them on everything. Also claustrophobic sailor? #4 $168k holy moly!! from experience Bedroom upper is better and brings you above the noise.
Love Suzie’s home two-bed office upstairs with plenty of room. Her home is the kind of tiny home you dream of
Charlene’s tiny home is a beautiful home outdoors space designed with a lot of space

Tina you are an inspiration to ones who have lost. You share on a human level and that feels so comforting. I have had 2 losses in the last 8 months and every thing you share, be it firsts or comfort you are heard. Thank you. We are subscribers and will always cheer you on in your journey. Xo
The first one is the nicest tiny house I have ever seen. I love the high ceilings, 2 bedrooms, and stand up loft.
Suzy that is not a tiny home by normal tiny home off the grid homes standards. Seriously? 90k? Um not a tiny home. More like a detached apartment. Beautiful though. You just did a normal downsize.
