Artists Build Tiny House as Creative Studio & ADU – Legal Obstacle!

Thanks to video sponsor, Wildgrain! They purchased the shell from a solar company and finished out the interior. It’s solar-powered and has a greywater recycling system to water their garden. It’s used as a creative studio, but they also wanted to use it as an accessory dwelling unit (ADU). But they came to find out the city doesn’t allow homes on wheels to be occupied OR “camping” on residential properties. For now, they love using their backyard tiny house as a creative retreat & workspace for their music and visual arts/designer work.

  2. I like it and can live in it. However, 40k is too much to pay for a 150 sq ft. 😮 Shell. I love the couch, the kitchen, bathroom, and the sleeping loft

  3. I personally love it. It’s just the right size and minimalist. The reason most people don’t like it I think is because it doesn’t look lived in. And that’s just a fact.

  4. I don’t understand why someone would want this when they can get an RV that can have more room, more amenities and cost less per square foot. I feel the builders who build these are making loads of money. Also these lofts where a. Adult can’t stand up in the bedroom is just silly to me.
