Her beautiful Tiny House really wows! Downsized for more flexibility

Meet Natalie, a multitalented musician & writer living in a 400 sqft tiny house on wheels. After falling in love with cozy small spaces, she decided to downsize from 1250 sqft. It coincided with her desire to leave NOLA for a cold climate. That, in part, led her to choose Teacup Tiny Homes, a Canadian builder who knows how to build for extreme cold. Natalie loves her tiny home with an exceptionally functional & comfortable design—storage for days!

  1. I love all the windows!! Only thing I personally dont like is climbing up and down to the bedroom…and being so close to the ceiling..I want my bedroom downstairs

  2. Would you mind letting us know how tall you are? I’m trying to picture my 6 ft tall and 6’3” kids inside. Beautiful home!

  3. I couldn’t help but hear that you had to pay property tax and New Orleans? I don’t understand yes in Louisiana we have what you call (homestead exemption.)….. meaning, you don’t pay any taxes on your property when you’re buying our own…. You don’t even supposed to pay property taxes if you live in the city because your homestead….. and may I ask who did you pay your taxes to?.. God bless your heart feel as if you’ve got ripped off!!!😪

  4. Love your green couch. I like the idea of the risers. However, I guess you know that you can change out those legs. You can find them at any Home Depot Center Lowe’s, etc….. Your home looks very comfortable. Wish you health and happiness. Thank you for the tour. It was nice meeting you.😊

  5. Central Oregon is also a resort area and the rental costs are very high. Portland rents are on average $3900.

  6. Her tiny house is pretty well appointed. The bathroom is amazing. It’s bigger than what I currently have in just over 600sqft. As a New Orleans resident, I understand exactly why she left regarding hurricanes and insurance. It gets to be so expensive, not to mention stressful. My auto insurance is ridiculous living here compared to other places. I’m looking to relocate back to the West Coast (originally from The Bay Area) in the next couple of years, myself. I love New Orleans, but I am hurricane weary at this point and tired of paying high insurance.
