*One of a Kind* Tiny House Built with Special Interior Details & Design – FULL TOUR

This incredible tiny house was hand crafted with high quality materials and beautiful wood to create a stunning tiny house on wheels, inside and out. Everything from the door and windows, to the cabinetry and shelving, was built by hand. Measuring 26′ long x 8.5′ wide x 13.5′ tall, it’s not a very big house but it has some of the most beautiful living spaces we’ve seen!

The house has a luxurious tiled bathroom with an open shower, a living wall, and heated floors. A minimalist retro kitchen with custom made cabinets, a vintage-style fridge, and a ’50s diner inspired table. A cozy living room with a trifold sofa bed, a standing wall shelving unit, woven wallpaper, and a designer lamp. And upstairs, the loft is a bright and airy sleeping nook with an operable skylight, storage shelves, and a stained glass window for extra air flow. The exterior has a bump out shed with space for the propane on demand water heater, the water filtration system, the electrical panel, and extra storage for things like camping gear.

Matt spent a lot of time thinking about the lighting and ventilation in the house. He built and installed 7 clerestory windows along the top of the roofline to bring in lots of natural light, and he also built two casement windows on the main level, and installed an operable skylight in the loft to allow hot air to vent out through the roof in the summer.

He also included unique lights including a handmade Japanese-inspired lantern, a designer counterweighted light, and a Turkish goat-skin drum light.

Every single corner of this micro home has something special about it, and you can tell it was built with a lot of love, care and skill.

This tiny house is currently for sale on Vancouver Island and you can find out more about it on Matt’s website here:

  1. He is a genius, his cameras made my brain explode. The tiny house is awesome, he has thought of everything practically as well as aesthetically. Gorgeous video to watch.

  2. Great tiny home. Well done..Matt thought of every detail. For me, if I were to go tiny, it would be a bit bigger. Also, not sure I am believing he built it for himself; it seems more like something he might be trying to sell. There is nothing wrong with that at all.

  3. His Canadian accent is soft music to the ears of this fellow Canadian. I’ve been watching a lot of the channel, Never Too Small, just for the laughs because the designers are *pretentious* about their designs, most of which are far less functional than this one, and no more beautiful. The humility in Matt’s presentation of his very impressive word is just so refreshing. I saw someone suggest giving up some ceiling height for more height in the loft. That seems like a good idea to me too. But I hadn’t even thought of that. The only thing I noticed that might need a change is that Matt is tall and long limbed, making it possible for him to easily reach up and move that light above the sofa, and to reach across the kitchen counter. A very minor quibble. More of an amusement for a shortie like me who can only dream of having a reach like that.

  4. Land yacht for one.
Wool is fiber, what you do
    with it depends on application
    and feel varies greatly.
So clear about the types of wood and qualities, same difference with orher materials.

  5. Nice bathroom tile. The use of the interior space is good and functional. I like the idea of the 50’s style café table at the windows. Everything is done very well and there is plenty of natural light.
