  1. Very cute. Having had 4 teenagers I wonder if this will work when the kids are teens. Because teens use up so much room. They’re so big and sometimes what privacy.

  2. I wish my nieces and nephews lived in tiny homes like this one instead of paying thousands of dollars for apartments. 😢

  3. Just so you know, my family lives in an old and very large farmhouse after living for a year in a toy hauler in the mountains. The kids still want to be next to us all of the time. We tend to all hang out in the same smaller living spot. Your space is awesome and set up well. I enjoy people who say we learn and change as we go. Great job!

  4. Practical and fun great eco build I live it! Do you have a space for a self contained trailer rental???Single female! Massage therapist. I have done several farm sits in Ontario. I feed the ducks and chickens green smoothies and the egg production was incredible and the yolks so vibrant. 😂

  5. I recently turned 44 years old. I work as a Caregiver, full-time. I’m also single and have never ever been married. Until 10 years ago, I lived off and on with my parents til I was 33. My son’s dad and I split and so I became a single parent. I wasn’t earning enough money to live on my own. After my stepdad and grandpa passed away, I packed up and left. I moved out of state. I’m originally from Indiana, but my son and I have been living in Wisconsin for the last 10 years. I rent a 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment. I truly love living here. It’s 729 sqft. , Here, I have 3 big closets, nice size bedrooms and living room. My kitchen is dainty, but it has lots of cabinets and counter space. Then, in the basement, I have a storage unit that is massive. I literally have everything I want and need here. ❤
However, every year the rent increases. Its not a lot, thankfully, but eventually I may not be able to afford it. I currently pay $760/mo. So, now, I am wanting to or at least thinking about going tiny. Unfortunately, due to income, credit, debt, and work situations I do not qualify for a traditional mortgage. So, I decided to save up money to buy some land and then I’m going to purchase 53ft tractor trailer (semi-trailer) and convert it into my tiny home on wheels. Here, on Marketplace, I found trailers selling for as low as $2500. Yes. Of course, they range in price and sizes, but what a deal right? I just have to find the land and put a down payment down and go get a trailer. I’m expecting to pay around $70k to 80k (land, trailer, conversion, and for the outside deck). Til further notice, I will be living in this apartment. I’ve only been living here a year and a half. As for my son, his will 19 years old in November and is currently living with his Dad, stepmom, and 3 siblings here in Wisconsin. Ya know going tiny isn’t a bad thing. Whatever works for you. My thoughts are this…You aint Homeless as long as you gotta roof over your head. Home is what ya make it to be. This couple is doing a mighty fine job. Be proud.

  6. Really liked your family story around your tiny house and how it evolved. Thanks for sharing ☺️

  7. Great kitchen. It doesnt take over half the house. LOVE all the bookshelves& the laundry area! 😊

  8. I truly like your tiny home but that being said I could just never let my toddling baby go up and down that ladder much less sleep up there without some sort of walls railings just something to keep them from falling omg 😳 I’d just never do it. I’m not criticizing you it’s just my personal opinion… Your home is very nice though I would consider adding another lower level bedroom for the kids and use that loft space as storage.

  9. I love your story/ journey. Thanks for sharing! You guys are awesome parents. Enjoy your TINY HOME. ❤ GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
